The lovely weather distracts me from drawing, and I have been busy with work for new clients. That's ofcourse very exciting and gives me a good feeling about the direction my work is going. But I do need the quiet time, when it's dark, good music is playing. And Im drawing. I need the freedom of just drawing, to become a better illustrator and graphic designer. Its the source of my creativity.

A nice paper bag for your lunch. Would'nt be nice if there was enough time in a day to make all these little things during the day more beautiful with a pencil and some colours?

Mijn eerste spaanse boek

Weekblad dit weekend

Thirza, een studente aan HKU, maakt komende drie maanden schaduwopdrachten van mijn werk bij Nrc Weekblad. Ik vind dat ze deze week een prachtige illu heeft gemaakt. Speels, vrij, en kloppend met de inhoud van het stuk. Zelf vind ik dat heel moeilijk: je speelsigheid vasthouden naarmate mijn werk, opdrachtgevers en 'carriere' serieuzer worden. Daarom vind ik gewoon vrij tekenen, cd hoesjes maken, knutselen zo belangrijk.
